WI Influence is our exciting new influencer division at Webbe Industries, allowing us to support smaller brands with a wider and more diverse influencer offering. We have handpicked up-and-coming talent in the world of social media, who we believe have an exciting journey ahead of them.
Meet Alex, the first male to join our WI Influence division at Webbe Industries. Throwback to Coventry in 1994, Alex was born to Juliet and Bryan. As he grew up, he showed a promising future in sport attending a sports college and becoming the captain of the cricket team. Alex was never defined by one path – trying anything that was thrown his way – from playing football and squash, to later becoming head boy.
Alex proves that you can combine physical prowess, humour and brains in one. He later went onto graduate from Nottingham Trent University studying Business Management, Accounting and Finance, joining the energy industry as a graduate and becoming professionally chartered at the age of 24. It’s safe to say that Alex is not what you stereotypically expect from an Accountant, especially when you realise you recognise his face from ITV2’s Ibiza Weekender in 2019 (the unfortunate one who had the wedding – don’t worry it wasn’t real!)
If he were to describe himself as a drink, he would be a Mango Daiquiri with an added-shot of rum because he’s fruity, best served on a beach in the sun and has a zest for life that’s bound to put a smile on your face. Coupled with his passion for fitness, Alex is an advocate for sustainability and the environment. Who would have thought you could have this many different flavours in a cocktail?
Since finding TikTok, Alex has discovered that daytime naps, a fluffy purple dressing gown and copious tubs of ice cream were all he ever needed to become a hit with his followers in the UK and across the pond.
Alex is excited to hit the ground running as part of our Webbe Industries family – having a brand ambassadorship with Protein World, a lifetime supply of Oppo Brother ice cream and The Skinny Food Co treats, paired with a number of photoshoots and a short indie production in the pipeline, we expect big things from Alex.
Meet the lovely Amelia. Born in 1997 in the beautiful Berkshire countryside into a big family, Amelia being the youngest of five with one sister and three brothers (plus two dogs – how could we forget them?). Her upbringing took her on many paths but it’s safe to say, you can take the girl out of the countryside but can’t take the countryside out of the girl!
During her school years, Amelia chose to study Psychology, Dance and History. Amelia’s love of dance began at the age of three when she started attending classes, until she was 19 years old when the desire to travel took control. Before university, Amelia headed on an enviable adventure for six months to Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Bali, Australia and Los Angeles (Jealous much?).
In 2020, Amelia graduated from the University of Sussex in Psychology. She loved learning about people, how they behave, what acts on their subconscious behaviour, their brains and well, EVERYTHING! It was during university that Amelia discovered her love for weight training and fitness which is when she first created her Fitness-focused Instagram, posting work outs and recipes. Although Amelia is a Libra, who are known for being indecisive. One thing she’s not decisive about is the direction she’s taking. Fashion has always been a huge part of her life. When she’s not working out, you might (most probably will) find her scrolling on ASOS for hours on end to find the latest pieces – her favourite brands range from Zara through to Nike, Adidas, and Urban Outfitters. Who else’s style depends on their mood? Amelia eats, sleeps and breathes body positivity, promoting her weight gain on her fitness Instagram as an empowering process which men and women should not be afraid of. This is when her Instagram really started to take off!
Amelia has already worked with a whole host of brands from Bulk Powers, MyProtein and Women’s Best through to Topshop, Bo+Tee, Lounge Underwear, I Saw It First, Bondi Sands, PrettyLittleThing, and Mejuri.
Introducing Shanae and Renae – known to many avid TikTok scrollers or Instagram double-tappers as the Nel Twinnys – were born in 2000 to their African Zimbabwean and British parents in Hampshire.
If the news of having twins wasn’t enough of a surprise to the family, more sparkle came when Shanae and Renae discovered their love of entertaining people and being in front of a camera. Perhaps their TikTok fame was written in their stars all along!
With creativity in their veins, it was only right that they studied Performing Arts, Theatre Studies and Dance during their time at Barton Peveril College.
Fast forward to 2018, Shanae and Renae found themselves pondering what was next for them. It was then that they decided to set up their joint TikTok profile and were shocked to see how quickly they rose in popularity with viral and trending videos – one of their videos hitting 7.7million views! Although they were very much used to being twins, others found their identical looks and personalities mesmerising. Well, can you tell them apart? Psst: the clue is in the small moles on Shanae’s neck and one below Renae’s lip.
This TikTok whirlwind has taken them on many adventures (both virtually and physically), creating their own lip gloss brand, securing brand collaborations with the likes of PrettyLittleThing and growing a following with fans from across the world.
Since starting their social media adventure, they’ve grown a significant amount in a small space of time and are growing by the day. We’re proud to represent these unique and vibrant girls alongside our friends at FOMO Models.
